Plwyf/Parish of
Llandeilo Fawr, Maesteilo and
Taliaris
St Teilo's church stands on a site where there has been Christian worship for nearly fifteen centuries, dating back to the mission of St Teilo in the sixth century. Our roots therefore go deep in Celtic Christianity and the Age of the Saints. We believe that as the church in this generation we are called to the tasks of spiritual renewal among God's people, and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ in Llandeilo and the Tywi valley. We dedicate ourselves to the Gospel, to fellowship, prayer, worship and witness, and to the service of others.
Saif Eglwys Sant Teilo yn yr union fan lle bu addoli Cristnogol am bron bymtheng canrif - a hynny'n dyddio 'nol i genhadaeth Sant Teilo yn y chewched ganrif. Mae ein gwreiddiau felly yn ddwfn yn Oes y Saint a'r Gristnogaeth Geltaidd. Fel yr Eglwys yn yr oes bresennol, credwn ein bod wedi cael ein galw i sicrhau adnewyddiad ysbrydol ymhlith pobl Dduw - gan gyhoeddi'r Newyddion Da am Iesu Grist yn Llandeilo a Dyffryn Tywi. Cyflwynwn ein bywyd i'r Efengyl, i gymdeithasu, i weddio, addloi a thystio, ac i wasanaethu eraill.

The Big Strim Saturday 14th May 9.30 - 12.30pm
Church members of all ages are warmly invited to the summer ‘big strim’ for the St. Teilo’s upper churchyard on Saturday, 14th May. The upper churchyard, now that it has been cleared of brambles and shrubs back to the edges, is looking good. With its new benches and paths, with flowers planted, it is being well-used by the community.
This will be the first of two ‘big strims’ in 2011 to keep the area well-managed and meadow-like. We’ll be working from 9.30 am to 12.30. Please come for a 1 or 2 hour slot at any time and strim a section. It’s mainly just long grass now, so easier than last year! Please bring your own strimmer and safety gear. There are also a few other churchyard jobs as well for those who don’t strim, so there will be things for everyone to do.
