Llandeilo Fawr, Maesteilo and
St Teilo's church stands on a site where there has been Christian worship for nearly fifteen centuries, dating back to the mission of St Teilo in the sixth century. Our roots therefore go deep in Celtic Christianity and the Age of the Saints. We believe that as the church in this generation we are called to the tasks of spiritual renewal among God's people, and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ in Llandeilo and the Tywi valley. We dedicate ourselves to the Gospel, to fellowship, prayer, worship and witness, and to the service of others.
Saif Eglwys Sant Teilo yn yr union fan lle bu addoli Cristnogol am bron bymtheng canrif - a hynny'n dyddio 'nol i genhadaeth Sant Teilo yn y chewched ganrif. Mae ein gwreiddiau felly yn ddwfn yn Oes y Saint a'r Gristnogaeth Geltaidd. Fel yr Eglwys yn yr oes bresennol, credwn ein bod wedi cael ein galw i sicrhau adnewyddiad ysbrydol ymhlith pobl Dduw - gan gyhoeddi'r Newyddion Da am Iesu Grist yn Llandeilo a Dyffryn Tywi. Cyflwynwn ein bywyd i'r Efengyl, i gymdeithasu, i weddio, addloi a thystio, ac i wasanaethu eraill.

Y Llyfr : The Book 30th October to 16th November
The artists: Bethan Lewis and Richard Higlett.
This art project reflects the journeys made by the Llandeilo (or Chad) Gospels between Llandeilo and Lichfield.
What you can see
In Llandeilo and Lichfield each artist has made new work that is shown at each location at the same time. They respond not simply to the idea of the book, its resonances and meanings, but also to the journeys made between each location.
You can download 'Teilo' created from the handwriting of the person which is cited as the earliest evidence of written Welsh. Named Teilo after Saint Teilo. This typeface is a recreation of letters from an inscription found in the Gospels:
On 16th November, Cardiff artist Richard Higlett will talk about his 'Teilo' typography at 11am and again at 2pm when it will be followed by a concluding discussion and evaluation with the artists.
